Terms of Services

Last updated: 3 September 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) apply to the website at robam.net.au and to related information, content, features, tools, products and services made available through that website (together, the “Services”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Services.

By accessing or using the Services, or by placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Who we are

In these Terms, “ROBAM”, “we”, “us” and “our” means the operator of robam.net.au. “You” means the person accessing the Services or placing an order.

The Services are intended for customers in Australia. Delivery coverage is described in our Shipping Policy and is available to eligible postcodes across Australia.

2. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

3. Using the Services

You must be at least 18 years old, and legally able to enter into a contract, to use the Services or place an order. If you use the Services on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business.

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on the website and changing the “Last updated” date. The updated Terms apply from the date they are posted. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.

We may change, suspend or discontinue part of the Services where it is reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. If this affects an order you have already paid for, we will contact you and, where appropriate, refund you.

4. Accounts

You may need an account to use some parts of the Services. The information you provide must be current, complete and accurate. You must keep your username and password confidential, and you must tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without authorisation.

You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, unless that activity happens because of our failure to take reasonable care. We may refuse a username, or suspend or close an account, if we reasonably believe it is being used in breach of these Terms, to impersonate another person, or in a way that creates a security, fraud or legal risk.

5. Orders, pricing and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST. Product descriptions, images, prices and availability may change from time to time. We take reasonable care to keep information accurate, but we cannot guarantee that your screen will display product colours exactly as they appear in person.

When you place an order, you offer to buy the products on these Terms. We may accept or decline an order. An order is accepted when we send an order confirmation, or when we take payment and proceed to fulfil the order, whichever happens first.

We may refuse, limit or cancel an order if:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing, description or other error;
  • we cannot obtain payment;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised use, or a reseller or wholesale order; or
  • we cannot deliver to your address under our Shipping Policy.

If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled items using the original payment method. We may also contact you using the email, phone number or address you provided.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you submit. Payments are processed by Shopify and our payment providers. You must pay all charges that apply to your order, including any installation or other optional fees we quote and you accept before dispatch.

6. Delivery, returns and installation

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy. Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Professional installation may be available. Pricing and availability depend on the product and your location. You can request a booking through our Schedule Service page, or by contacting us. If we arrange a third-party installer, we will share the information reasonably needed to schedule the appointment. That installer may also have their own terms for the installation work.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the product itself are not removed because installation is carried out by us or by a third party. Damage caused by installation that we did not arrange, or by use that is inconsistent with the product instructions, may fall outside any voluntary warranty we offer. Statutory consumer guarantees still apply where the law requires.

7. Warranty

ROBAM products may include a manufacturer or voluntary warranty, in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Warranty details can vary by product. Please check the relevant product page, your purchase documents, or contact us for the warranty that applies to your appliance.

A voluntary warranty does not replace, and is in addition to, the consumer guarantees that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. User content

If you send us reviews, comments, photos, feedback, suggestions or other material (“User Content”), you remain the owner of that content. You grant ROBAM a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, copy, edit, publish and display that User Content in connection with the Services, including for marketing ROBAM products and the website. This licence lasts for as long as the User Content is reasonably needed for those purposes.

You confirm that you have the right to submit the User Content, that it is not confidential, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or contain unlawful, misleading, defamatory or harmful material. We may remove User Content that we reasonably consider breaches these Terms or the law. Requests relating to User Content can be sent to au@robam.com.

We are not obliged to publish, keep confidential, respond to, or pay for User Content.

9. Intellectual property

The Services, including the ROBAM name, logos, product names, text, graphics, images, layout and software, are owned by ROBAM or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, sell, scrape, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the Services, or use ROBAM trade marks, except with our prior written consent or as permitted by law.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the Services to:

  • break any applicable Australian or other law;
  • impersonate another person, or submit false or misleading information;
  • upload viruses, malware, or content that interferes with the Services;
  • harvest personal information about other users without their consent;
  • send unsolicited advertising or spam;
  • overburden, disable or interfere with the Services, including through automated scraping or bots, except for ordinary search-engine indexing;
  • attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access; or
  • resell ROBAM products purchased from the Services without our consent, except as permitted by law.

If you breach this section, we may suspend or end your access to the Services and, where appropriate, cancel an order and refund you.

11. Third-party tools and links

The Services may include links to, or access to, third-party websites, tools, content or services. Those third parties are responsible for their own products, terms and privacy practices. We do not control them and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for their content, availability or performance.

If you use a third-party tool or service, you do so on that third party’s terms. Complaints about a third-party service should be directed to that third party, unless the complaint is about something ROBAM is legally responsible for.

12. Privacy and marketing

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that policy.

If you subscribe to updates, or otherwise agree to receive marketing, we may send you promotional emails, SMS or post about ROBAM products and offers. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. If you opt out of marketing, we may still send you messages about your account, orders, delivery or service requests.

13. Liability

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for loss that is not reasonably foreseeable;
  • we are not liable for loss caused by your failure to follow product instructions, unauthorised modification of a product, or installation that we did not arrange;
  • we are not liable for the acts or omissions of third parties we do not control, except where we are responsible for them under the Australian Consumer Law; and
  • our liability for any claim that can lawfully be limited is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product or service.

We do not exclude liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to the extent that liability cannot be excluded.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where that delay or failure is caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, industrial action, utility or telecommunications failures, transport disruption, government restrictions, or war. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and to keep you informed. This section does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Suspension and ending these Terms

These Terms continue until they are ended. You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we reasonably believe that is necessary to protect the Services, our customers or our legal position, or if we stop providing the Services in Australia.

If we end these Terms after you have paid for an unfulfilled order, we will refund you for products not delivered, unless a refund is not required by law. Sections that are intended to continue, including intellectual property, user content, liability, governing law and this survival wording, will survive.

16. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and ROBAM about your use of the Services and replace any earlier understandings on that subject. They do not create a partnership, agency or employment relationship.

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them to a related company or to a buyer of the business, provided this does not reduce your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. Headings are for convenience only.

If there is an inconsistency between these Terms and our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy or Privacy Policy, the more specific policy prevails for that subject. For personal information, the Privacy Policy prevails.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and Hong Kong. The courts of Australia and Hong Kong have jurisdiction, except that you may also bring a claim in any other court that cannot be excluded by law.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also contact Consumer Affairs Victoria or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, or use any other dispute-resolution process available to you under Australian law.

18. Contact us
